The Doge’s Palace is one of the most important symbols of Venice. For centuries, it represented the seat of Venetian political power. Within its majestic rooms, the Doge and his Council controlled the fate of the Serenissima, surrounded by hundreds of masterpieces of painting and art.
As you visit the palace’s halls of power, you will have the opportunity to go back in time and breathe in the evocative atmosphere where Byzantine and Renaissance architecture meet.
Inside the palace, you will admire some of the most famous works by Tintoretto, Veronese, and other renowned artists. Finally, you will relive the anguish of the prisoners who, after crossing the iconic Bridge of Sighs, were led into the darkness of the Venetian prisons.
