Baron Samuel von Brukenthal (1721-1803) had a dream of turning his palace into a prestigious museum for European art – a dream which came true after his death, when the palace first opened its gates to the public in 1817. Famous for its collection of art by European masters, this museum is a must-see for culture lovers visiting Sibiu.

The opening hours are from Wednesday to Sunday, from 9:00 to 14:00 and from 14:30 to 17:00. Between 14:00 and 14:30, the museum will be closed for disinfection.
