Overview

A royal residence for over 300 years, Kensington Palace has been home to some of the most iconic members of Britain's royal family. It was within the walls of this intimate palace where Queen Victoria was born, while more recently it has been the home of Diana, Princess of Wales. Today, it is the residence of Prince William, the Duchess of Cambridge and their family. Inside the State Apartments, adorned with an impressive display of paintings from the Royal Collection, you'll catch a glimpse into the private lives of the British royal family.

NEW EXHIBITION: Royal Style in the Making (3rd June 2021 - 2nd January 2022)
New at Kensington Palace this summer, this exhibition explores the intimate relationship between fashion designer and royal client.
The display features never-before-seen items from the archives of some of the most celebrated royal couturiers of the 20th century, set alongside examples of the glittering gowns and stylish tailoring created for three generations of royal women. The wedding dress of Diana, Princess of Wales will also be on display, as the exhibition explores the fine art of designing for royalty.
