Llandudno Great Orme Explorer Hop-On Hop-Off Bus Blue Route
Llandudno Great Orme Explorer Hop-On Hop-Off Bus Blue Route
Product details
Our Great Orme Explorer takes visitors on a journey around the Great Orme — the striking limestone headland that towers above Llandudno. Renowned for its rich wildlife and diverse plant life, the Great Orme is now a protected nature reserve and one of the must-see attractions on the North Wales coast.
Today, the town of Llandudno sits beneath the towering presence of Great Orme — a dramatic limestone headland that rises out into the Irish Sea. Its name is thought to derive from an old Norse word meaning “sea serpent”, inspired by the shape of the headland as it appears to emerge from the water like a giant mythical creature.
Join us as we journey from the heart of Llandudno to the summit of the Great Orme, where breathtaking coastal views stretch for miles. Along the way, we’ll also explore the Great Orme Mines, a remarkable network of Bronze Age tunnels once used for copper mining.
