Day 2: Tobermory
After breakfast, we check-in for our cruise to the Treshnish Isles and Staffa. Sit back and relax on our water-based adventure around the beautiful Treshnish Isles. Throughout this six-hour extravaganza keep an eye out for seals, eagles and whales, while listening to commentary from our wildlife guide. We spend two hours on Lunga to explore the large puffin colony that nest in burrows on the grassy hill side sounded by wildflower. Listen to tales of giants and geology as we sail to Staffa and marvel at Fingal’s Cave. Enjoy the beautiful island views and marine life as we return to Tobermory. This adorable multi coloured harbour town is our home for the night.
Day 3: Tobermory to Oban
Today we travel across mountainous Mull to visit the spiritual Isle of Iona, often referred to as the sacred heart of Scotland. Enjoy plenty free time to have lunch, visit Iona Abbey, explore the white sand beaches, and experience the special feeling reported by many visitors to the island. Afterwards, we catch the ferry back to Oban, where you can try fresh seafood and have a drink with the locals on our last night.
Day 4: We depart Oban and travel through the dramatic and breath-taking landscape that is Glencoe and onto the wild expanse of Rannoch Moor and Rob Roy's old stomping ground. We stop at Deanston Distillery to learn all about single malt production – and sample it straight from the source. Catch a glimpse of the Wallace Monument, while listening to tales of our national hero. Return to Edinburgh at around 5.30pm after four awesome days. The drop-off location, where we say our good-byes, is at Waterloo Place in central Edinburgh.
